About the Department

In the era of communicational boom, communication in English with computer knowledge is highly advantageous to procure jobs in Media and IT field. Apart from that, students have flair for literature, to quench their thirst and at the same time help them build their career in a profitable way. Not many colleges in Coimbatore offer B.A English Literature with Computer Application, to abreast with the best of interest of the upcoming generation; the college has proposed to introduce BA with CA.

To make the students fluent users of the English language.
To offer exposure to literary/cultural traditions that expands their horizon of imagination.
To widen the literary discourses studied and accommodates more contemporary interests.
To pave way for creative writing to excel in freelancing.
