About the Department

Liberalization and globalization has led to phenomenal growth in India's foreign trade. Emergence of India's foreign trade as a major sector has resulted in demand for manpower to handle large volume of Indian's foreign trade.

The objective of the Master of International Business (MIB) course is to develop skills and knowledge in foreign trade, Foreign exchange and related areas so as to create opportunities in export import operations. Liberalization and globalization has led to structural change in the economy. The restructured M.Com (IB) course is created with the objective of making the course professional and job oriented. The course is designed so as to create job opportunities in banking, finance, accounting, foreign exchange management, export import procedures and documentation, logistics, operations and management.

At Dr. N.G.P. the department of International Business was incepted in the year 2003 with the objective of making the students to become future industrial leaders with strong values and high level professional competence.

To Meet the global standards and to work best Indian and transnational company the department not only trains them academically but also provides practical training. The Department also focuses in shaping the overall personality of the students by organizing and making them participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, case study, symposium on relevant topics.

The Department Association named “SUE GENERICS”
The department conducted 2 national level seminars.
Organized 3 workshops on personality development and export import documentation.
M/s K.Rajalakshmi secured V rank in the university exam
The faculty presented totally 21 papers in various seminars.
The students and members of staff have participated in various national and international conferences.
Through its association “SUI GENERIS” conducted nearly 20 special lecture programmes.
Had signed an MOU with Sanpo Institute of Technology and conducted Diploma in Air Travel & Tourism Management.
Three members of staff are alumni
The athletic team of our students won various laurels including 3 gold medals in various state, university and national level meets.
Mr.Suresh, a student of M.Com (IB) won a title named “ the fastest man of the meet” & “Bharathiar Univerisity - Karl Louise.”
