Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a formal organization that consists of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a College. The goal of all parent-teacher groups is to support their college, encourage parent involvement, support teachers, and organize family events.

Aims and Objectives of PTA

1. To foster and promote cordial relationship among the parents, teachers and students of the college/department.
2. To help guide and participate in various developmental activities of the college.
3. To render ‘all possible assistance for smooth working of the college and for maintaining good discipline in the campus.
4. To institute scholarships/awards for deserving students of the college.
5. To provide and ensure essential facilities to the students of the college

This year (2008 -09) Parents Teacher Association of Dr.NGPASC was held in the UG seminar hall on second week of December. Over 700 parents were invited for the meeting through intimation letters and around 350 parents were present along with 150 faculty members of our college.An interactive session was arranged with a formal meeting. The meeting was presided over by the Madam Secretary and the Principal was the anchor person. The Parent-Teacher Association of NGPASC is very active and vibrant. It has been an effective and supportive forum for the maintenance of the discipline as well as sustenance of academic excellence in the Campus.
