Overview

The Bachelor of Commerce with Goods and Services Tax is Apprenticeship/Internship Embedded Degree Programme introduced in the year 2021-22 with the aim of improving employability and forming robust industry-academic linkage. This programme will enable students to demonstrate workforce professional abilities for potential employment. The program sets a platform for the students to apply the theoretical concepts practically through a series of case studies. The course set out on a vast expanse of knowledge and rigor, to make students industry ready.

The uniqueness of this programme is six months apprenticeship/internship training. Apprenticeship is considered as the most efficient and promising structured training for exposure to real working environment. This has enormous potential to combine work-based learning with theoretical knowledge of related disciplines. Through apprenticeship/internship, students may actively engage with the practical learning such as problem-solving, creative thinking, digital skills and teamwork etc.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • The Curriculum is designed to attain the following learning goals which students shall accomplish by the end of the program:
  • To enable the students to learn the Indian tax system and the importance of Indirect taxes (GST) in the Indian and global economy and its contribution to the economic development.
  • To provide comprehensive knowledge in the field of direct and indirect tax through systematic and practical teaching learning approach. It would enhance their analytical skills for decision making.
  • To acquire practical exposures would equip them to face the challenges in dynamic business environment.
  • To make them to be a tax consultant in preparing tax planning and tax management
