The English Department of Dr N.G.P. Arts and Science College has been providing the Business English Certificate course training for the students of various departments since 2012. To add a pearl to the department’s crown more than five thousand students have been highly benefitted through this BEC training and certification. Business English Certificate is one of the most significant courses offered by the University of Cambridge, London. It assesses one’s language competency in a business context and helps an individual who aspires for a lucrative job and decides to pursue tertiary education abroad. The test has three levels preliminary, vantage, higher and consists of four language skills namely listening, reading, speaking and writing. It is held on various fixed dates in centers worldwide and has two modes of conducting LRW examinations which include paper and computer based however the speaking test is always an interview with two examiners. The tests are conducted periodically; candidates must register for the exam through an authorized centre. The British Council, the United Kingdom's International Organization administers all the Cambridge examinations for cultural relations and educational opportunities.
