Best Practices

Objective of the Practices: The purpose of this practice is to forward the students with developing the aptitude of research and its current development in field. Every wednesday 3rd hour we are conducting this activity. The students are used to present research articles from research journals. The teacher will assist them and clarify the doubts arise by the presenter and students. Main focus of this activity is to develop innovative ideas in research among the students.

The Context: The current advancement in the field of biotechnology used to be discussed in the presentation to update the knowledge in the field of research

The Practices:Final year students of UG and PG used to present a research paper from a journal for 15- 20 minutes. After presentation queries raised by the fellow students is clarified by the presenter.

Evidence of Success: These practices had helped the student to place in well reputed institute in India and aboard. Adaptability and accountability are the core value that will be attained when he/she is becoming researcher.

Problem encounter and Resource Required: Sometimes the presenter may take leave without intimation.

Students Internship Training

Objective of the Practices: The goal of this practice is to formulate policies/design strategies to strengthen the skills of the students of biotechnology in various dimensions. Now the need of the hour has forced the institutions to design curriculum the fills the gap between industry and education. Taking in to consideration that it will give opportunity for our students to get exposed to advanced instruments that are used for research procedures. Our students of biotechnology will have an edge over graduates from other colleges in placement and job opportunities priority.

The Context: Students used to get real time experience about functioning of industries and institutes.

The Practices: Student to undergo 3-5days short term training in industries or research institutes after completion they should submit the report of training.

Evidence of Success: The exercise has provided good scope for the students. As a result of these internship most of the students can have the opportunities to do their higher studies in universities, both in and out of India. Many felt that the training played a significant role in earning a place in working arena in the field of biotechnology.

Problem encountered and Resources Required: Student may face problem to obtain the permission from industries since they are pre occupied with their routine duties.
