The Centre for Innovation and Incubation is an institutional unit or organization within academic institution to foster innovation and to support the growth of startups and entrepreneurial ventures. It serves as a hub where ideas can be nurtured, developed, and transformed into viable business models. The centre plays a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators, contributing to economic growth and technological advancement.
Objectives
- To access incubation/pre-incubation services equipped with office space, labs, and technical facilities to support the development of new products or technologies.
- To facilitate the growth of startups through incubation services, including access to funding, infrastructure, and business networks.
- To promote Entrepreneurial Innovation by highlighting success stories of startups that have successfully integrated sustainability into their business models.
- To facilitate networking among entrepreneurs, investors, industry experts, and policymakers.
- To bridge the gap between academia and industry by promoting collaborative research and development projects.
- To foster ecosystem growth in identifying and addressing the challenges faced by startups in achieving ecosystem sustainability.
- To support the development of green technologies and sustainable business practices.
- To discuss about the policies and initiatives that can foster a supportive environment for sustainable startups.
- To provide information on funding opportunities, mentorship programs, and technological resources available to startups.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Hosts events that bring together innovators, investors, and other stakeholders to foster connections and partnerships
- Supports research and development activities by providing access to advanced technologies, research funding, and collaboration opportunities with academic and industry partners
- Assists in patenting and protecting intellectual property, helping innovators commercialize their ideas
- Maintains a network of successful alumni who can offer mentorship, investment, and other forms of support to new startups
- Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions on entrepreneurship and business management.
- Organize pitch events and investor meets to showcase promising innovations
- Facilitate internships, live projects, and industry exposure for students
- Promote the centre’s activities, programs, and successes through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and public relations.
