About the Cell
Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College established in 1997 is a standing testimony of Kongu Mamani Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, a well renowned doctor, Educationalist & Philanthorophist and his generous wife eminent personality of the decade, Dr.Thavamani D. Palaniswami. Discipline and Quality education are the Hall mark of this institution. The college infrastructure and instructional facilities on par with global standard have paved way for rendering quality education which is proven through NAAC reaccreditation with “A++” Grade. The Intellectual Property rights for the academic year 2018 - 19 was initiated in our campus on July 19, 2018.
IPR Objectives
- To educate stakeholders within the organization about the importance of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. This might involve conducting training sessions, workshops, or providing informational materials.
- To provide a comprehensive single window reference system for all intellectual property rights issues relating to intellectual property generated at the Institute.
- To safeguard the interest of creator of intellectual property and provide fair distribution of returns accruing from the commercialization of IPR.
- To develop strategies for the identification, protection, and management of intellectual property assets.
- To file and prosecute patent, trademark, and copyright applications to secure legal protection for valuable intellectual property assets.
- To monitor the marketplace for potential infringements of the organization's intellectual property rights and taking appropriate enforcement actions when necessary.
- To identify opportunities to license or commercialize the organization's intellectual property assets to generate revenue or create strategic partnerships.
- To create an environment for acquiring new knowledge through innovation and research, compatible with the educational mission of the Institute.
- To Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the creation, use, and protection of intellectual property within the organization.
Activities
The primary objective of this Cell is to provide a forum to MSME entrepreneurs, Industry Associations and others stakeholders, including professionals having working experience of MSME sector to share knowledge, experience and create mass awareness on various aspects of IPR.
