The Research & Development (R&D) Cell under the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), supported by the Ministry of Education through the MoE Innovation Cell, plays a key role in promoting a research-driven innovation ecosystem in higher educational institutions.

The R&D Cell of the Institution's Innovation Council is responsible for promoting a strong research and innovation ecosystem by encouraging faculty and students to undertake quality research, funded projects, and consultancy activities; facilitating ideation, prototyping, and product development; supporting intellectual property rights through patent filing and commercialization; establishing collaborations with industries, research organizations, and academic institutions; organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, and training programs; disseminating information on funding opportunities and assisting in proposal preparation; maintaining records of publications, projects, and patents; monitoring and evaluating research progress and ensuring ethical standards; mentoring student innovators through hackathons and innovation challenges; and aligning all activities with the guidelines of the MoE Innovation Cell to contribute effectively to institutional growth, innovation performance, and societal impact.
