Policy Statement

The Centre for Indian and Foreign Languages is committed to promoting multilingual competence and cultural awareness among students. It provides opportunities to learn Indian and international languages and organizes training programmes, workshops, and cultural activities to enhance linguistic, academic, professional, and intercultural communication skills in a global context.

Objectives

  • To promote the learning of Indian and foreign languages among students.
  • To develop students’ communication skills in multiple languages.
  • To enhance linguistic competence through training in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • To create awareness of the culture, literature, and traditions associated with different languages.
  • To provide opportunities for students to acquire language skills for academic, professional, and global purposes.

Roles & Responsibilities

To organize language training programmes, workshops, certificate courses, seminars, guest lectures, competitions, and cultural activities; collaborate with language experts and institutions; and support students in developing language proficiency for higher studies, career opportunities, and multilingual communication.
