Objectives

To provide a formal and transparent platform for research scholars to present their academic, administrative, and personal grievances, and to ensure that all complaints are addressed impartially, confidentially, and in a time-bound manner, thereby safeguarding their rights, well-being, and academic progress while promoting a supportive research environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To review all research projects to be conducted at Dr.NGPASC irrespective of the funding agency
  • The committee shall take care of all cardinal principles of research ethics viz. Autonomy, Beneficence, Non-malfeasance and Justice in planning, conduct and reporting of the proposed research.
  • The committee shall review the proposals before start of the study as well as monitor the research throughout the study until and after completion of the study through appropriate well documented procedures like annual reports, final reports, site visits etc.
  •  The committee shall also examine compliance with all regulatory requirements, applicable guidelines and laws.
  • Research Scholar Grievance Redressal
    1. Grievance Handling: The RAC provides a platform for research scholars to voice their concerns and grievances related to their research activities.
    2. Resolution Mechanisms: The committee sets up processes to address and resolve grievances efficiently and fairly. It ensures that scholars receive the necessary support to overcome any obstacles they may face during their research journey.
    3. Feedback and Improvement: The RAC collects feedback from research scholars to identify common issues and improve the overall research environment.
  • Conducting Research Empowerment Activities
    1. Workshops and Seminars: The committee organizes workshops, seminars, and training sessions to empower researchers with the latest methodologies, tools, and techniques in their respective fields.
    2. Skill Development: These activities focus on enhancing the research skills of faculty and students, encouraging them to pursue innovative projects and collaborations.
    3. Networking Opportunities: The RAC facilitates interactions with experts from academia and industry, providing networking opportunities that can lead to collaborative research and funding prospects.
  • Conducting Meetings and Finalizing Decisions
    1. Regular Meetings: The RAC conducts regular meetings with its members to discuss and evaluate ongoing research projects, new proposals, and overall research strategies.
    2. Decision-Making: During these meetings, the committee finalizes important decisions related to research policies, funding allocations, and collaborations. This includes approving new research projects and setting priorities for future research initiatives.
    3. Strategic Planning: The RAC plays a crucial role in strategic planning for the college's research activities, ensuring alignment with academic goals and industry trends.
