Roles and Responsibilities

• To implement, monitor and evaluate continuously the reservation policy in the University/Affiliate Colleges and plan measures for effective implementation of the policy and programme of the Government and UGC.
• To counsel and guide SC/ST students and help them to manage academic and personal issues of college life effectively.
• To collect reports and information of orders of State Government of Tamil Nadu and University Grants Commission on various aspects of education, employment of SC/ST students.
• To circulate decisions of State Government of Tamil Nadu and University Grants Commission about different scholarship schemes.
• The Cell organizes interactive sessions and informal meetings with students to attend to their personal, social and academic problems.
